Steamboat style in Sibu is pretty different than what they offer in KL.
This is one of the one i quite enjoyed actually.

This restraurant is called *Kuai Ke He* (sorry i didn’t get the english name), and they offer Taiwanese style steamboat, on their menus, there are also bunch of other Taiwanese dishes too. We’ve order one Chicken Ham set, which only cost around 16 per set. (Quite enough for 2 person)

Then out of curiosity, i wanted to try their Suan Lak Mian (asam laksa), it turned out pretty good. Although it wasn’t spicy at all, but the soup has a *funny, different* taste i like. (Weird?)

Extra noodles is serves upon request which cost RM 2.00 only.

It was a rather enjoyable meal untill i started to sweat and my makeup started to melt and i started scolding Andrew saying *It’s all your fault that you didn’t remind me to wear something less*
Yes i was wearing a knit top.
How am i supposed to know? It was raining outside. ![]()
Most Siburians owns a illegal satalite, with this satelite, you get to watch over hundreds of channel, including almost all channels from China and Taiwan.

It’s so huge as if it is screaming : yea so i’m an illegal satelite, so what? tak de police come and tangkap pun.
Yea, even police’s house also got install, you know?
So in our house, we get to watch all rather good up to date Taiwan entertainment shows, dramas, news, etc.. DIRECTLY from Taiwan. No editing like what Astro does. The Taiwanese also have so many chun commercials like bra commercials, where actress/singer like Vivian Hsu will show off their wonderful body live on TV for you. I also saw this Chanel commercial that feature a very hot model Julie Ordon entirely naked (but showing back only lar)
Also there’s a channel from China that shows some very funny old 3 star porn films after 11/12 pm. It’s very entertaining.
And if you are religious you can tune on to Christian channels and sing along hallelujah with them. (or whatever song they sing)
Overall, if you like chinese shows you will like this satelite, after all you only have to pay about 2k for installation and that’s it, for life.
One of Sarawak’s many symbols : Pineapple
The pineapple here are so sweet and juicy, even if you are not a pineapple lover you will love them here.
They are so good, even Leo had to carry 2 boxes back even thou they were overweight, and he had to pay approximately extra RM 80 just to fetch them back, believe it.
Now our mom can grow anything out of her garden, let’s see if she can grow pineapple herself.

And yes she can ;)
I bet you haven’t seen baby pineapple like myself, i didn’t even know they are so red in color before they fully grown.
Beautiful, right?
There’s a bak kut teh theme restraurant in town.

Everything is bak kut teh related, they serves over 20 kinds of bak kut teh delicacy, if you don’t like rice, you can have a bak kut teh mee pot also.

One pot is merely RM 6.00, with one bowl of rice.

We only ordered one pot + 2 bowls of rice, and ofcourse Yau Char Guai too.

Yum~
This is a picture i took long long time ago, i forgot where or when, or even who i took basically, but i was using a old nikon N90 manual camera.

I remember my friend commented on it saying :”whimsicle. Kids are great to take pictures of. They look so innocent, but then, you can’t see what they are doing in the sand. For all we know they could be burrying the neighbor’s pet alive. Hmm…”
LOL
Magnificent fireworks being played in Sibu during CNY.

Something you don’t see alot in KL. Except Merdeka lar. ![]()
I want to include a few pictures from last year Miri trip here.

You know i’ve gotta say the beach there is so much nicer than what we have in Port Dickson or Cherating.
And the boys definitely had fun playing kites too.

The kites we bought were about RM 30 each, if i remember correctly.

We also dig out some tiny sea creatures too, well, used to be

ah….sigh…those were the childhood days
Oasis Cafe : Cozy little cafe that serves local delicacies and some other random cuisines.

Even thou they serves affordable dish like Kolo Mee for RM 3.00 only, im very impressed by their interior. Got air cond some more !

I’ve tried their Japanese fried pock chop with rice, and andrew had his Japanese friend pork chop with potatoes (pretty much the same, lolz, i guess you can say we have the same tastes)

And our refreshing drinks : Andrew’s Ice Chocolate drink and mine ice lemon tea

All for less than RM 20, atleast this sleepy town still can offers you cheap food.
